Overview

General eye exam package is suitable for all ages and gender, which provide all basic eye tests. A complete eye examination at Hanoi eye hospital 2, does more than determine how clearly you see, what eye problems you are experiencing, or which lens prescription will give you the best possible vision. It also helps our doctors giving proper treatments. We proudly provide full services of eye treatments, the only private hospital in Vietnam has a competency about facilities, equipment, and doctors to treat most of eye disease.

Our ophthalmologists, Prof.PhD Hoang Thi Minh Chau, Prof. PhD Nguyen Duc Anh, MD. Mai Thi Anh Thu, Dr Nguyen Thuy Nga, Dr Luu Thi Thieu Hoa, along with the eyecare team at our hospital, will perform several vision tests to check the health and function of your eyes, using state of the top-notch equipment. The first portion of your exam starts with one of our technicians, who will thoroughly go over your medical history and your family’s medical history, along with documenting any visual problems you may be experiencing. If you are a contact lens wearer, we will also check to make sure your contacts are the correct prescription, fit and are the type of lenses best suited for your eyes.

Procedures

Step 1: Register or book an appointment with our doctors at Hanoi Eye Hospital 2 by send an inbox via Facebook Fanpage, fill the form on our website, call to 1900277227, and visit directly our hospital at 72 Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, Dong Da, Hanoi. 

Step 2: Visit our hospital 

• Vision test, measurement of intraocular pressure, refraction, ophthalmoscopy, automatic visual field examination.
• Ultrasound of the eye to detect diseases of the retina, vitreous. (According to the doctor's prescription)
• OCT retinal scan to assess the edema of the retina, Digital fluorescein angiogram to detect ischemic lesions, neovascularization... of the retina. (Indicated for people with diabetes with or without diabetic retinopathy.)
• Anterior part OCT to evaluate the opening of the anterior chamber angle, posterior part OCT to check the normality of the retina and optic nerve. (Indicated for people with glaucoma or at high risk of glaucoma.)
• Count corneal endothelial cells and measure corneal thickness. (Indicated for specific types of glaucoma.)

After completing all necessary tests, patients back to see our doctors.

Step 3: Treatment and periodic eye health examination as prescribed by the doctor

When do you need to see our ophthalmologists’? 

General eye examination is applicable to patients who:

• There is a need for a general eye exam to detect eye diseases early.
• There are abnormal signs in the eyes such as discomfort, pain, red eyes, ....

Especially in patients over 40 years of age, eye diseases may begin to appear early:

•  Examination, monitoring and treatment of diabetic retinopathy in people with diabetes with or without diabetic retinopathy.
• Examination, monitoring and treatment of glaucoma in people with glaucoma who are at high risk of glaucoma (family history of glaucoma, severe myopia, severe eye trauma).
• Examination, monitoring and treatment of refractive errors
